It's only fitting that we would open a retail wine shop here at our family restaurant, The Cat & Custard Cup, after all, it was once before that very thing...maybe a little ahead of it's time however, this La Habra local is back! After years of serving as a dining room, our owner/chef Creed Salisbury thought it was time to make a change! The idea (that had been long desired) was to create a shop where not only our restaurant diners could benefit from "unheard-of" restaurant wine prices but that the general public too, would have the opportunity to benefit as well. The once dining room was transformed into a quaint, old school-kind of-mercantile, with old French riddling racks, wine barrels and unfinished redwood bins hosting hundreds of wines. In fact, the only original piece that remains is the antler chandelier, that adds to the rustic charm of the place. "It basically houses or showcases our wine list" says the owner. The shop is the perfect size for perusing the awarding winning selections, winemaker notes and handcrafted gifts items keep it personal to the overall small production theme where Each bottle really tells a great story.
